Building on Subway’s® long history of giving back, the global Subway Cares Foundation™, an independent non-profit organisation, was recently created to expand on the great work Subway® franchisees are doing in their local communities and make a significant impact globally.

StreetGames
100 young people had the opportunity to take part in an action-packed once in a lifetime Commonwealth Games Summer Camp in July 2022, thanks to a generous £25,000 donation from a Nottingham Subway® restaurant to the charity StreetGames.
The donation was provided to allow 100 young people living in underserved communities across Nottingham and surrounding areas to attend StreetGames’ Camp Birmingham 2022, a summer camp that not only develops young peoples’ coaching, volunteering and leadership skills, but also gave them the chance to attend the Games in person.
Rethink Food
Partnering with children’s school charity Rethink Food, Subway® has donated 1,000 aprons left over from our old uniforms to schools where they are being used as grow mats for watercress, helping children learn about how fresh fruit and vegetables grow.
CC Foundation
Founded by Fekky an artist, tastemaker and entrepreneur, the CC Foundation is a grassroots organisation to support young people from the UK, named after Fekky’s two sons Capree and Cuben.
In December 2022, Subway® worked with rapper Fekky and the CC Foundation’s Annual Turkey Drive to deliver free turkeys to key locations across the TUKI region where families needed support during the festive season. Subway®’s donation helped CC Foundation supply 5,000 turkeys to families in need.
FareShare & CrossCare
To add weight to Subway’s® festive Sub You campaign, we partnered with FareShare – the biggest UK charity fighting food poverty and food waste – to activate the charity element of the SubYou initiative over a set period in December.
For every Festive menu item sold in the UK between December 13th-24th, 2022, Subway® donated £1 to FareShare, up to £200,000. This resulted in 800,000 meals for families in need.
In the Republic of Ireland, Subway® donated €0.50 for every 6-inch Sub, wrap, or salad sold between December 13th-24th to CrossCare, a charity dedicated to creating long-term, sustainable outcomes for those experiencing food poverty.
